Performance Engineer w/Database Tuning

Location: Location- Onsite in Austin, TX or Sunnyvale, CA
Duration- 12 mos.Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of proven hands-on experience in Performance engineering with some exposure to SAP or similar packaged products/DBs
- Strong experience in DB Performance tuning and engineering.
- In-depth knowledge of performance-tuning SQL queries and stored procedures
- Experience in doing in-depth Root Cause Analysis to identify performance bottlenecks
- Proficient in one or more programming languages such as Python, Perl, ABAP, Java, and C++.
- Expertise in performance testing tools, including LoadRunner Enterprise, Apache JMeter, SoapUI, and Postman.
- Strong analytical skills, with experience in data analysis, visualization, end-to-end performance evaluation, and root cause analysis.
- Experience working with service-oriented architecture (SOA) and RESTful APIs.
- Proficient in using application performance monitoring tools, such as Dynatrace and AppDynamics.
- Skilled in using various profiling tools to efficiently identify performance bottlenecks.
- Expertise in performance assessment and optimization of complex applications built on the SAP HANA.
- Understanding of SAP BTP components such as API Management (APIM), SAP Integration Suite, Conversational AI (CAI), Data Intelligence (SAP DI), and AWS storage services.
- Expertise in application and database performance monitoring in SAP , HANA DB cockpit, and SAP BTP cockpit.
- Strong understanding of relational databases and in-memory databases.
- Solid understanding of Algorithms and Big-O notation.
- Experience with code management using Git.
- Familiarity with Agile or Scrum software development methodologies.
