
Electrical Panel Assembler

- Assemble products per assembly process specifications.
- Effectively communicate with team members, both verbally and in writing.

- Assemble, terminate, and wire electrical panels and electrical boxes using the specified tooling and approved workmanship standards, including complete installation into enclosures.
- Work with written instructions, mechanical drawings, bills of materials, wire run lists and electrical schematics.
- Perform point to point wiring on a variety of electrical panels and power distribution electrical boxes; using company supplied hand tools, such as crimpers and wire strippers.
- Work with groups ranging from 2-8 people.
- Integrate sub-assemblies, electrical panels, chassis, power supplies and connecting cables.
- Perform co-builds with customers and/or project teams with no support to learn new product builds and transfer knowledge to other assemblers.
- Learn new product builds and transfer knowledge to other assemblers.
- Work with Engineering and Quality Control relating to assembly requirements, workmanship standards and customer product specifications. Provide redlines and feedback on written work instructions and procedures.
- Inspect, test, and diagnose issues within electrical systems and components.
- Troubleshoot issues and make timely repairs.
- Strong ability to assemble, disassemble and repair.
- Work independently and with groups ranging from 2-8 people.
- High School diploma or GED, with 5+ years experience, prefer technical school or equivalent experience.
- Good communication skills (English), both written and verbal.
- Strong attention to detail, focus, and highest standards for quality.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience wiring electrical panels and/or electrical sub-assemblies.
- Experience with hand tools such as crimpers, wire strippers, screwdrivers, tape measures, wrenches, and torque wrenches.
- Demonstrated ability to operate hand and power tools associated with electrical wiring work.
- Has worked on large scale capital equipment a plus.
- Able to analyze problems and offer solutions.
- Experience with complex panels, multiple components and large wire run lists.
- Good understanding of wiring schematics and electrical theory
- Understanding of big picture workings of surrounding areas.
- Approximately 90% of the work is performed in a precision, light industrial production area. The remaining time will be spent in office and warehouse areas.
- While performing the duties of the job, the associate is regularly required to stand for an extended amount of time, walk and reach with hands and arms.
