Materials Handler
  • Training will be on 1st shift for up to 4 weeks 5am - 3:20pm Monday - Thursday
Starting Pay Rate $20.50-$24.15Shift Available
  • 2nd shift (Mon-Fri 3:00pm - 11:20pm) with OT as required on Friday and/or Saturday.

Craft has over 30 years of industry experience and has established itself, along with its skilled employees, as a leader in delivering high-quality parts to customers.Position Summary:The Materials Handler assists with preparing materials for production.Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Place and retrieve product from appropriately designated areas via forklift and other material handling equipment throughout facilities to ensure that production and customer needs are met.
  • May involve receipt of incoming material/product and may load and unload trucks.
  • Prepare the materials for production by identifying which material is needed and mixing materials to job specifications; measure, weigh, mark, label, count, blend, track, calculate shot weight, record, inspect, verify, package and palletize a wide variety of products or materials.
  • Operate dryers at the correct temperature to prepare raw materials and ensure the correct moisture levels, utilizing the moisture analyzer.
  • Maintain cleanliness of material handling equipment to prevent material contamination.
  • Check forklift and other equipment periodically for proper operation and may perform routine maintenance and cleaning.
  • Responsible for quality of work and appropriately resolve unusual operating conditions. Willingly modifies work schedule and duties to accommodate Company needs. All other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education: Reading and understanding English language work instructionsPreferred Education: High School Diploma or equivalentMinimum Skills/Experience: Proficient Computer and Math skills, six months of fork truck experience, ability to read and understand English language work instructions.Preferred Skills/Experience: One year forklift experience in a warehouse settingFunctional Job AnalysisConsistently able to:
  • Manually lift and move product and materials up to 55 lbs. through regular physical exertion, including but not limited to reach forward, reach overhead, lift, carry, crouch and bend.
  • Power grip and wrist turn, including the use of hand tools and/or steering for truck
  • Walk, sit or stand for up to 12 hours with intermittent breaks
  • Push / pull 100lbs.
  • See, inspect, and evaluate product quality
  • Read and understand written work instructions in English
  • Work in a non-climate controlled environment, including hot and humid conditions.
  • Walk up and down steps
  • Climb ladders and stairs of varying height
  • Wear task-based Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Protective Footwear; metatarsals or molders boots depending on position
