- Leadership: The Vice President - Engineering will be able to inspire and motivate department. He/She will also identify and remove organizational bottlenecks and have a strong ability to communicate across the department, as well as, communicate with customers.
- Program Management: The Vice President - Engineering will ensure that our product vision is realized through excellence in execution.
- Technical Leadership: The Vice President - Engineering will foster and encourage innovation in his/her Team Members. He/She will also guide development of technical strategies and roadmaps and is highly knowledgeable in technical matters.
- Strategy Development: The Vice President - Engineering will be a member of the Executive Management Team and will play a role in guiding the direction of the company. He/She will also work collaboratively with other departments to develop corporate and product strategy.
- People Development: The Vice President - Engineering will develop an organizational strategy, including succession plans for key positions, to support long-term growth, and provide career opportunities and development support for employees.
- Customer Engagement: The Vice President-Engineering will interact with customers and distributors to gather product feedback, engage early adopters on new products, and present technical roadmaps. The Vice President-Engineering will also oversee the technical support organization ensuring effective and efficient issue resolution and product supportability.
- Productively work with peers in other departments to support and contribute to overall profitable growth of the Rauland BU and leverage projects to apply to all divisions and markets.
- Four year degree in Electrical, Electronic or Software Engineering required; MBA preferred
- Minimum of 15 years' experience in technology engineering.
- Strong background with integrated solutions consisting of both hardware and application software components.
- Experience in a Medical Device development environment or similar regulated environment
- Knowledgeable in Quality Systems Regulations (QSR) and experience working with a Quality Assurance team to develop quality standards and processes.
- Experience with product development methodologies (Agile, Lean, test automation).
- Experience managing multiple simultaneous development projects.
- Has the ability to improve the “project estimation” and timeliness of release execution capabilities of the team.
- Has worked in the development of corporate strategic plans.
- Experience with M&A and technical due diligence processes
- Experience managing a department budget.
- Excellent communication, training and presentation skills
