The Department is the perfect place to kick-start your career!For more information, please visit .Summary StatementDSCYF are currently seeking two dedicated interns or externs to support our Housing Resource Specialists (HRS) located in New Castle County and Kent County. HRS staff play a vital role in helping families address housing-related challenges through direct service, advocacy, and connection to vital community resources. This internship offers a meaningful opportunity to engage with families and community partners while learning about the housing system and support services in Delaware.Interns/Externs will gain hands-on experience in resource navigation, client support, and inter-agency collaboration. Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in Social Work, Psychology, Public Health, Human Services, Behavioral Health, Education, or a related field.2. Currently seeking internship hours to fulfill degree program requirements.3. Currently seeking an externship to apply academic knowledge and practical work experience within a related degree field.4. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)5. Organized, detail-oriented, and able to take initiative with routine tasks.6. Ability to conduct trauma-informed, holistic interviews in a professional and compassionate manner.7.
