
Quality Control Manager (Software Testing)

- Perform Quality Control reviews and tests on Army IT projects to confirm compliance with government requirements.
- Conduct thorough system testing for Army web-based applications, especially those developed in ASP.NET with SQL databases.
- Record and report results from application tests, monitor systems readiness, and develop Army IT testing framework and report documentation.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive testing framework and complete detailed report documentation.
- Assist with user acceptance testing, ensuring that the end-product meets the end user’s needs.
- Monitor system readiness and report on application test results to management and government stakeholders.
- Collaborate with project teams to integrate quality management practices throughout the project lifecycle.
- Follow all applicable agency policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Provide general guidance to lower-level developers and engineers.
- Bachelor’s degree or postgraduate degree in engineering, scientific, technical, or business management disciplines from an accredited college or university.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in a field of specialized expertise, including Quality Control within Army or DoD programs/projects.
- An active in scope Secret security clearance.
- Experience performing Quality Control reviews/tests of Army IT projects.
- Experience developing corrective action plans following tests or audits.
- Certifications in Quality Management or Testing such as Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE) or Certified Software Tester (CSTE).
- Advanced training or certifications in project management and process improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma.
- Prior quality testing experiences within development operations (DevOps) environment.
- Prior experience leading quality assurance teams in defense contracting environments.
- Strong knowledge of software quality assurance principles and practices.
- Proficiency in creating and managing testing frameworks and documentation.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders.
- Ability to lead and mentor teams in quality control initiatives.
- Commitment to upholding the highest quality standards in all project deliverables.
- Normal office conditions.
- Core hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 0600 - 1700.
- On government site within Ft. Belvoir, VA.
