- Will work in conjunction with the Executive Director in developing, implementing, and maintaining a successful donor cultivation and stewardship program to include creating systems and processes for prospect research, gift processing, donor acknowledgment, and ongoing reporting systems.
- Responsible for creating and managing the Foundation's annual development budgets.
- Partner with appropriate departments at CAN as appropriate to execute donor outreach activities.
- Maintain the Foundation's donor database and track fundraising metrics to help evaluate effectiveness of campaigns.
- Work with the Executive Director to properly promote activities to donors through the Foundation's website, social media channels, and through other traditional communications activities.
- Cultivate ongoing partnerships with philanthropic, corporate, and community organizations aligned with the Foundation.
- Represent the Foundation at local and national conferences and community events.
- Research, write and manage grant proposals and develop required reports.
- Responsible for raising the profile of the program of work at the Foundation as well as CAN Community Health to potential funders.
- Attend Foundation board meetings when required.
- Previous experience with setting organizational revenue/expense budgets, creating and executing annual fund-raising plans and developing long-range strategic plans.
