Adecco is immediately hiring a Quality Assurance Technician for $17-18/hr. at a plastic injection molding company in Nampa, ID. QA Techs play a critical role in ensuring that all molded products meet customer specifications and internal quality standards. You are a liaison between production and quality, advocating for the customer and helping maintain a high standard of product integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct hourly inspections of molded parts using Job Instruction Manuals and Quality Plans.
- Perform visual, dimensional, and functional checks to ensure product compliance.
- Maintain and organize hourly sample bins and first/last shot samples.
- Audit finished goods and apply appropriate quality and inventory labels.
- Record and monitor Statistical Process Control (SPC) data; identify trends.
- Review and verify rejected parts; ensure proper documentation and disposal.
- Assist in training operators on inspection methods and quality standards.
- Initiate Part Discrepancy Notices (PDNs) and control non-conforming products.
- Communicate shift updates and ensure all paperwork is complete.
- Maintain organized records of inspection forms, drawings, and manuals.
- Support sorting and rework operations to ensure effectiveness.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Quality Assurance Manager.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Must pass a basic math skills test.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during the shift.
- Previous experience in manufacturing or quality assurance is a plus.
- Maintain a clean and hazard-free work area, especially in and around the Quality Lab.
- Ensure proper identification and organization of product boxes.
- Follow all safety procedures, including those related to hazardous materials and emergency protocols.
- Know the location of fire extinguishers, exits, and emergency response procedures for oil and water line incidents.
