  • Learn electrical safety, industry standards, electrical code, and theory.
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including wiring, conduit, motors, transformers, switchgear, and control panels.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial equipment to ensure reliability and minimize downtime.
  • Troubleshoot complex electrical issues using diagnostic tools (e.g., multimeters, test equipment) and resolve them efficiently.
  • Execute lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and other safety protocols during work activities.
  • Test and commission new electrical installations or upgrades, verifying proper operation and adherence to specifications.
  • Collaborate with others to address equipment needs and improve system performance.
  • Move and stage tools, material, and equipment as needed.
  • Provide support to your team.
Requirements
  • Required to obtain an Apprentice Electrician card and enroll in an approve apprenticeship program. (state or jurisdiction-specific).
  • Valid driver’s License
  • Must be punctual and attentive with an aptitude for theory and mathematics.
  • Must become proficient in the operation of man lifts and forklifts.
  • Maintain an excellent safety record.
  • Must become proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, and schematics to understand the layout and function of complex electrical systems.
  • Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and document work.
  • A preferred candidate will have experience in an industrial or mechanical field of work or of study.
