- Administer and maintain enterprise IT systems, including servers, storage, backup and disaster recovery / business continuity tasks.
- Implement and support identity management solutions.
- Develop and maintain cloud services, including Azure Resource Management and Virtualization Management.
- Manage, optimize and support system monitoring, logging, and performance tuning.
- Manage & maintain our enterprise system virtualization platforms such as VMWare and Azure Local.
- Responsible for implementing, maintaining and refreshing all hardware infrastructure that supports Kansas Judicial Branch functions.
- Automate IT processes using PowerShell, Python, or other scripting languages.
- Ensure compliance with IT policies, governance, and regulatory standards (NIST CSF, CJIS, etc.).
- Collaborate with IT Support, Networking and Security team to support endpoint management (MDM, Intune, SCCM) and system security (i.e. EDR, SIEM).
- Collaborate with application, security, and networking teams to maintain system integrity.
- Collaborate with networking and security team to support and maintain Azure networking components, including VPN, ExpressRoute, and Virtual WAN.
- Create and provide technical documentation and user training as needed.
- Administer and manage Azure workloads, including compute, storage, identity, and security configurations.
- Monitor and troubleshoot Azure-related issues, ensuring optimal performance and uptime.

- Seven years of professional experience in IT system administration roles.
- Proficiency in managing complex server environments with multiple operating systems and versions.
- Experience in server administration, including installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of server hardware and software.
- Strong Proficiency in managing operating systems such as Windows Server and/or Linux/Unix.
- Experience with server and hardware monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
- Experience in capacity planning for hardware resources, including evaluating current usage and forecasting future requirements is preferred.
- Experience in collaborating with vendors for hardware procurement, ensuring compatibility, and optimizing costs is preferred.
- Experience with stakeholders and cross functional teams to gather requirements and produce design solutions.
- Experience in collaborating with vendors for hardware procurement, ensuring compatibility, and optimizing costs.
- Familiarity of storage technologies such as SAN (Storage Area Network), NAS (Network Attached Storage), and RAID arrays.
- Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to align with business objectives.
- Familiarity with implementing IT security best practices and methodologies.
- Experience in user account management and security permissions such as Active Directory.
- Experience with server virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V, including virtual machine provisioning and management.
- Experience in implementing and managing backup solutions for data protection and disaster recovery.
- Experience in managing and maintaining data center hardware, including servers, racks, power distribution, and cooling
- Experience with cloud-based platforms configuring services and resources such as Azure, AWS
- Demonstrate leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Familiarity with server automation and scripting tools such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python Advanced understanding of networking concepts.
- Certification demonstrating foundational skills in server hardware, software, and troubleshooting such as Microsoft Certified: Windows Server, Linux Professional, or CompTIA Server+ Certification is preferred.
