Join us in spearheading financial analysis and strategic decision-making for key areas like Outbound/Inbound Freight, Warehousing, and Inventory management. Lead forecasting, planning, and monthly closing processes, influencing the future of Welch's financial performance. Immerse yourself in a dynamic workplace where innovation thrives and collaboration is key.Our company in-office schedule is designed to maximize collaboration & relationship building balanced with flexibility and well-being with 3 days in office and Thursdays/Friday being remote, flex days.What You'll Do:
  • Conduct thorough analysis of logistics operations and inventory management processes to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to forecast logistics expenses, inventory turnover, and working capital requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including supply chain, operations, and procurement to gather data and insights for analysis.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to logistics and inventory, and provide regular reporting and insights to management.
  • Preparation of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-term strategic plans, with a focus on logistics and inventory-related expenses.
  • Perform variance analysis to explain deviations from budgeted or forecasted targets and recommend corrective actions as needed.
  • Evaluate the financial impact of proposed changes to logistics processes, such as transportation routes, warehouse configurations, and inventory levels.
  • Support ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects as assigned by management, contributing to overall business strategy and decision-making.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes affecting logistics and inventory management, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure accounting controls are in place and balance sheet accounts are properly reconciled.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline, automate, and improve current processes to eliminate manual work and focus on the analytics transforming data into information.
Who You Are:
  • You have a solid understanding of logistics and inventory management principles, including familiarity with transportation modes, warehousing practices, and inventory valuation methods.
  • Highly skilled in both accounting and analysis with attention to detail and ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • A dynamic self-starter who is an innovative and tenacious problem-solver with decision-making capabilities.
  • A true business partner, who uses effective verbal and written communication skills to build relationships, understand the business, and deliver insight that links financial reports to business strategies.
  • Proven track record of effectively managing large volumes of data to derive meaningful business insight from it, using keen organizational skills and excellent systems and Excel experience.
  • A high performer who can independently balance multiple competing priorities and tight deadlines in a demanding, fast-changing environment.
  • An agile learner, focused on continuous process improvement and opportunities to simplify, standardize, and streamline.
  • A team player willing to participate in and/or lead a variety of projects.
What You'll Need:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting/Business or related field.
  • 5-7 years of analysis experience with a minimum of 2 years in supply chain/ logistics
  • Demonstrated ability to link and analyze operational metrics to financial performance
  • Advanced Excel skills, and ability to grasp new systems quickly
  • Strong planning, organizational, analytical, communication, and networking skills
  • Prior experience working with Uber/Transplace/3PL Provider a plus
  • Prior experience with ERP upgrade / implementation a plus
