Clearance Required: Active SecretWaypoint’s client is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to provide direct technical assistance to the Director of Modeling & Simulation (M&S) Enterprise Engineering. This highly visible role supports design reviews, establishes architecture and design standards, manages Enterprise Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), and synchronizes M&S efforts across the Agency. The ideal candidate will bring strong Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work across diverse, multi-disciplinary teams.Responsibilities:
  • Perform systems analysis to elicit stakeholder requirements and mission needs.
  • Define requirements and conduct functional analysis using MBSE techniques and tools.
  • Draft, review, and maintain technical documentation in support of enterprise engineering.
  • Support technical reviews and working groups to ensure alignment with Agency standards.
  • Facilitate M&S and digital engineering transformation initiatives across the enterprise.
  • Represent Enterprise Engineering on tiger teams, cross-agency working groups, and enterprise-level initiatives.
Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field.
  • 7+ years of related professional experience.
  • Active Secret clearance.
  • Practical experience with MBSE and system modeling languages such as SysML, DoDAF, and UML.
  • Proficiency with MBSE tools such as IBM Rhapsody and integrated requirements tools like DOORS Next Generation (NG).
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience applying MBSE processes, such as IBM Harmony.
Desired:
  • Master’s degree in a related field.
  • MBSE certifications or training (OMG, INCOSE, etc.).
  • Familiarity with the Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) and experience working with the Missile Defense Agency (MDA).
  • Hands-on experience with design, development, verification/validation, and analysis of M&S for BMDS elements (Patriot, THAAD, GMD, Sensors, or C2).
  • Exposure to MDA test events supported by M&S products and services.
  • Ability to collaborate with geographically dispersed, diverse teams of engineers with varied perspectives and technical backgrounds.
