Is guided by a thorough knowledge of counseling methods: practices and procedures, applicable government regulation, the policies and procedures of the NYSDOH WIC Program and the Institute for Family Health. Uses the NYSDOH NYWIC computer system to process WIC participants information.Is cognizant of the philosophy, standards, objective and policies of the WIC Program and the organization. Has a through knowledge of the community and public health facilities so as to refer participants as needed. Assist the WIC Director and/or Associate Director with related departmental duties. Is cognizant of the philosophy, standards, objective and policies of the department and organization.QualificationsQualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics Food and Nutrition which meets ADA minimum requirements (RD eligible)
A minimum of 1 year nutrition education experience in Community setting in nutrition counseling and teaching skills.
Demonstrate computer skills and familiar with windows environments Microsoft word, Excel, Power point.
Bilingual -English/Spanish preferred
The ability to work with different background.
