
Field Sales Manager- Refining and Gas Processing

- Visit customer sites 3+ days per week, working with site engineers to understand operational optimization opportunities.
- Support Front-End Engineering and Design (FEED) and Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) firms specifying Dow solutions, in partnership with the R&P CORE Technical Service group
- Lead and coordinate customer relationships, working to understand customer needs and identify potential new clients.
- Strengthen and expand relationships with customers through regular engagement
- Develop and expand new relationships with prospective customers
- Manage Sales Contracts following Dow guidelines and legal requirements according to each region and country
- Develop and execute sales and marketing plans delivering profitable growth
- Develop and deliver value proposition (“Value Selling”)
- Interface and collaborate with distribution partners
- Partner cross-functionally with Dow’s Marketing, Supply chain, and Customer Service functions
- Lead and conduct negotiations and implement price changes and strategies
- Utilize CRM, Pricing, and Forecasting tools to provide documentation aligned to sales processes
- Collect and utilize market intelligence to shape sales/marketing plan
- Collaborate with other functions and stakeholders to deliver Customer Experience (CX) results
- Gas treating amines (UCARSOL™)
- Gas dehydration desiccants (DESITHERM™)
- Sulfur recovery (SulFerox™)
- Low Temps (Norkool™)
- Supporting new product introductions to market, in collaboration with R&D
- Plant operational reviews and process data collection
- Participation in bid preparation (technical and commercial components)
- Process chemistry review and analytical report interpretation
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering OR other related bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years of relevant work experience
- Must currently live in or be willing to relocate to the West Texas area. (Midland, TX, Odessa, TX etc.)
- Ability to travel locally up to 75%.
- A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.
- A bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering with separations process technology experience
- Prior experience in gas treating/refineries or equivalent.
- 5+ years of chemical or industrial plant operations experience
- Prior experience with vapor-liquid equilibrium and separations
- Customer and Sales experience
- Chemical process modeling experience is preferred (e.g., Aspen, Hysis, ProMax, ProTreat).
- Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Commercial Acumen: Previous commercial/customer-interfacing related experience.
- Sales Process: Prior Sales experience including demonstrated ability to identify and deliver cross-business sales.
- Sales Analytics Tools: Proficiency in CRM, DSR (Business Results Reporting), OMP (Forecasting), SmartPrice or Pricing Tools, & Microsoft Office.
- Communication: Fluency in English, strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Time Management: Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
- Customer Relationship Building: Ability to prioritize in-person relationship building.
- Customer Service: Exceptional customer service skills.
- Prioritization: Ability to maximize business results.
