Job Details:Yukon Public Schools (YPS) first opened its doors in 1891 in a small, one-room frame building. Fast-forward 127 years later, YPS now serves over 9,200 students across the greater Yukon area covering 68 square miles of Canadian County, including Yukon, NW Oklahoma City, SW Oklahoma City and Banner (when students enter the 9th grade). Over 1,200 full-time and part-time staff and faculty members serve the students and community of Yukon Public Schools across several academic, alternative, and athletic facilities, including 7 elementary schools, 3 intermediate schools, 1 middle school campus, and 1 high school campus. Yukon High School is currently the 7th largest high school in Oklahoma.   • Able to read, speak and comprehend basic English.
  • High School Degree.
REPORTS TO: Building Principal/Director of Food Services / SodexoJOB GOAL: Expected to perform a variety of duties for customer service pertaining to orderly dining service. Use of good interpersonal skills to provide the highest quality of service to customers at all times.PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist students through the serving line, and direct them to assigned tables (when so advised by the principal).
  • Circulate among tables during the meal period to assist students as needed and wipe tables after each use.
  • Inform designated school personnel of any disciplinary problems caused by students. It is not the responsibility of the hostess to discipline students unless so directed by the site principal.
  • Replenish and clean condiment area as needed.
  • Organize students for the orderly disposal of trays and utensils at the conclusion of the meal.
  • The Cafeteria Monitor is expected to learn and follow all national, state, Sodexo and school district policies and programs as well as health department regulations.
  • As assigned by a supervisor the Cafeteria Monitor may perform additional food service worker related jobs.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
  • Ten-month basis
  • Hourly (hours vary by site)
  • Non-exempt support
