To learn more, please visit .Urban Grid is a portfolio company of . one of the world’s largest owners and operators of renewable power and climate transition assets.We are currently seeking a Risk & Compliance Analyst Intern to assist with the day-to-day activities and tasks related to Corporate and Project Insurance matters, Enterprise Risk Management Framework, Implementation of the Environmental, Sustainability and Governance (ESG) program and other Corporate Compliance tasks. This position will be part of the Risk & Compliance Team and will focus on assisting with the daily tasks related to this function.This is a paid internship that will start on or around June 3, 2024, with an end date of August 9, 2024.During the 10-week program, interns will participate in virtual, company-wide and department meetings, virtual bi-weekly Friday lunch & learn trainings and a culminating group presentation on your overall internship experience. The program is structured to provide exposure to careers in renewable energy, best practices in internal communications as part of a remote/ hybrid team and best of all, the opportunity to work and support a team of professionals who are experts in their field.Responsibilities
Corporate & Project Insurance Risk
  • Coordinate and collect needed exposure data from project teams for placement of project specific insurance and all affiliates for insurance renewals
  • Assist with the day-to-day activities related to insurance risk
  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of core insurance coverage programs and principles
  • Support the Sr. Manager of Risk & Compliance with various special projects, analysis and other duties as required
Environmental Social & Governance (ESG)
  • Assist with the implementation of the ESG program
  • Track and monitor ESG metrics for all functions quarterly and annually
  • Assist with the preparation of the quarterly ESG reports for the ESG Steering Committee
Enterprise Risk Management (ERM)
  • Assist with the implementation of the ERM COSO Framework
  • Support and assist in the development of an Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) program
  • ·Assist in the preparation of risk & mitigation templates and conducting risk assessments / interviews with Risk Owners / Leadership Teams.
LocationThis position will be based out of our Corporate Headquarters, Houston, TX with a hybrid / remote work arrangement.Candidate to work full-time hours Monday - Friday during the summer duration of the internship.Requirements
  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business, Finance and/ or related field
  • Interest in renewable energy
  • Working knowledge of Insurance Risk Management
  • Strong work ethic and exceptionally high work standards
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, technical, and presentation skills
  • Ambitious and interested in career growth within in the organization
  • Hard-working and able to prioritize a large task load in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work in teams and deliver results
