- Develops a product strategy and product vision that delivers value to customers.
- Manages discovery efforts and market research to uncover customer solutions and integrate them into the product roadmap.
- Owns, maintains, and develops a product backlog that enables development to support the overall strategic roadmap and value proposition.
- Builds the framework and tracks the product's key success metrics such as cost, feature and functionality, risk posture, and reliability.
- Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and design troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to evaluate solutions or break down technical problems.
- Develops thoroughly considered high-quality product testing requirements and delivery roadmaps.
- Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems.
- Leads collaboration sessions with internal teams and vendors to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, product credentials, and testing applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture.
- Leads product owner and SDLC standards across Stability & Resiliency organization to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies.
- Giving back to the technology center community and leading technology advancement workstreams
- Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.
- 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in product management or a relevant domain area
- Advanced knowledge of the product development life cycle, design, and data analytics
- Demonstrate ability to lead product life cycle activities including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value management.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience as a product owner and/or testing automation experience with large enterprise applications for comparable companies.
- Hands-on practical experience driving product design and delivery through the SDLC life cycle from ideation through launch and support.
- Previous experience with Agile software development (or related experience)
- Executive-level presentation skills, written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated prior experience working in a highly matrixed, complex organization.
- Payments industry knowledge or related experience
- Advanced Product Owner skills (multi-period roadmap creation, value sequencing, business case writing)
- Technical experience (software code, API's, technical design, AI)
- External large client-facing experience (e.g. Fortune 500 or large fintech)
