- Develop and execute the financial strategy in alignment with the charter school network's goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with the executive team to create short-term and long-term financial plans that support growth and sustainability.
- Monitor financial trends and market conditions, making recommendations to optimize financial performance.
- Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and analyses for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and charter school funding requirements.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks through effective risk management strategies and controls.
- Implement policies and procedures that safeguard the financial assets of the charter school network.
- Manage the allocation of financial resources across the charter schools to support educational excellence and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with development teams to identify fundraising opportunities, secure grants, and cultivate relationships with donors and stakeholder
- Provide financial insights and analysis to guide strategic decision-making by the board of directors and executive leadership.
- Evaluate potential investments, partnerships, and expansion opportunities, assessing their financial viability and alignment with the network's mission.
- Manage relationships with financial institutions, auditors, consultants, and vendors to ensure efficient and effective financial operations.

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA or CPA preferred.
- Proven track record of at least 8-10 years of progressive financial leadership experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a senior management role.
- Experience working in the education sector, particularly in charter schools or non-profit organizations, is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of charter school funding models, grant management, and compliance.
- Exceptional financial analysis and strategic planning skills.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Proficiency in financial software, ERP systems, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong commitment to the mission, vision, goals and objectives of One City.
- Commitment to working with children from diverse racial/cultural populations and their families, experience preferred.
- Ability to regularly and routinely lift and push at least 50 pounds.
- Completion of a background check required.
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Compensation will be consistent with One City’s approved compensation plan as stipulated by the Board of Directors.
