- Install, maintain, modify, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and associated electrical equipment for commercial and residential properties.
- Conduct electrical system assessments to identify potential hazards, ensure safety, and assess system performance.
- Follow the National Electrical Code and ensure all permitted jobs meet requirements and pass inspections by local authorities.
- Become proficient in using our business management software for schedule tracking, client interactions, and invoicing.
- Mentor and supervise apprentices, offering guidance on installation, maintenance, and repair tasks.
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining electrical work to clients, answering questions, and offering advice on electrical safety or upgrades.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 5+ years of experience in the electrical trade, with a valid Journeyman Electrician license from the state of Minnesota.
- Previous experience in residential electrical work is preferred, but not required.
- Demonstrable knowledge and skills in electrical installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to maintain a professional demeanor in all interactions.
- Experience working with hand tools, power tools, and electronic test equipment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including fluency in English.
- Ability to frequently lift, move, and/or pull up to 75 pounds. Must also be able to twist, bend, squat, reach, and kneel to complete tasks.
- Ability to shift quickly and efficiently between tasks, prioritizing based on requests from supervisors.
- Position may require responding to emergency calls on nights and weekends.
- All applicants will be verified in the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry license database before being considered for an interview.
- Candidates who do NOT hold a valid Journeyman Electrician license in the state of Minnesota or cannot provide proof of eligibility to take the Journeyman test will not be interviewed.
