- The Engineer, Tank Integrity is an entry to intermediate-level Engineer role with responsibilities to support the various programs that comprise Buckeye’s Tank Integrity program.
- Responsibilities & Essential Functions include:
- Tank Integrity Program Support. Supporting the implementation of Buckeye’s Tank Integrity Programs, including, but not limited to,
o Performing analysis to determine re-inspection intervals and tank alarm levels;
o Supporting the tank repair determination process;
o Coordinating tank failure and metallurgical analyses;
o Participating in reviews of the Tank Integrity related manuals and other relevant manuals.
- Data Integration & Management. Maintaining Tank Integrity related databases and tracking tools and interfacing with Corrosion Control, GIS, and other corporate programs as required to integrate data in support of the overall Tank Integrity activities.
- Risk Management & Mitigation. Conducting risk analyses to determine which preventive/mitigative measures may be performed and their timing.
- Stakeholder Engagement. Communicating critical Tank Integrity program/project concerns related to risk, scope, schedule, cost, etc.
- Project/Program Management. Managing field execution of Tank Integrity special projects.
- Department Support. Providing support for Asset Integrity Team members.
- And other duties as assigned.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Chemical Engineering or related field is required.
- Experience: Typically, 0-5 years of relevant experience.
- Special skills: Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications required.
- Special skills: Proficiency with SQL, ESRI GIS, PowerBI, FME, Python, R, or other programming languages to perform data analysis is helpful.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory codes relating to tank integrity management is required.
- Travel Requirements: 10% travel possible.
- Engineer-in-Training certification is highly desirable.
- API-653 or API-510 certification, or equivalent experience, is preferred.
- Excellent communication, both written and verbal, as well as strong organizational skills are paramount.
- In order to be successful in this position, one must have excellent analytical skills to resolve business and operations problems and have good communication skills to consult with users to provide technical assistance.
- The individual must be well organized with the ability to keep accurate records and provide status updates.
- This position requires the ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and or/quantitative productivity standards.
- This role requires the ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
- This position requires compliance with all personnel policies.
- The person in this position needs to occasionally move inside the office to access file cabinets, office equipment, etc.
- This role continuously operates a computer and other office equipment.
- May require climbing tank stairways and entering tanks through manways.
