An active Professional Engineer license in Alaska is mandatory. A minimum of eight years of engineering experience at a similar level is required, along with expertise in designing and constructing overhead and underground transmission and distribution lines following RUS procedures. Proficiency in transmission lines, substations, and adherence to the National Electric Safety Code is essential.Strong supervisory and project management skills are a must, as well as a valid Alaska driver's license. BSEE degree or BSCE (Civil or Structural Engineering) required.

Experience in the design and construction of overhead and underground transmission and distribution lines using RUS design and contracting procedures.
Experience in the design and construction of transmission lines and substations.
Experience applying the requirements of the National Electric Safety Code.
