- Create detailed project schedules using project management software, ensuring all tasks, dependencies, and milestones are accounted for.
- Collaborate with project managers to identify key deliverables and timelines.
- Track project progress against the schedule, identifying any variances or potential delays.
- Produce regular schedule updates and status reports to communicate progress to stakeholders.
- Assist project managers in identifying and allocating resources effectively according to project requirements and timelines.
- Monitor resource utilization to ensure efficient use of personnel and materials.
- Analyze project schedules for risks and opportunities, providing recommendations to mitigate any identified issues.
- Develop contingency plans for potential schedule delays or conflicts.
- Facilitate communication between project teams, stakeholders, and management regarding scheduling and project status.
- Prepare presentations and reports for meetings with stakeholders to discuss schedule updates and concerns.
- Continuously assess scheduling processes and tools to identify areas for improvement.
- Implement best practices in scheduling to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of project delivery.
- Maintain accurate documentation of schedule updates, project timelines, and related correspondence.
- Ensure that all scheduling data is accurately reflected in project management tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in program or project scheduling, preferably in a technical or engineering environment.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or similar tools).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Must be a U.S. citizen with no dual citizenship.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) clearance.
- Technical or engineering environment program or project experience preferred.
