
Experienced Geotechnical/Geostructural Engineer

- Geotechnical and geostructural engineering design analyses such as deep and shallow foundations, earth retaining structures, ground modification, slope stability, settlement, seismic, and seepage;
- Geotechnical site characterization;
- Development and management of instrumentation monitoring systems and construction data;
- Project/task management and proposal preparation support;
- Preparation of engineering reports, design calculations, drawings, technical specifications, and permit applications; and
- Fieldwork associated with design and construction services.
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field. (required)
- Advanced degree in geotechnical engineering or a related field. (preferred)
- Professional registration (i.e., P.E. ). (required) in Georgia or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire in Georgia.
- At least 7 years (8+ preferred) directly relevant experience in a consulting or other design role environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)
- Knowledge of relevant geotechnical engineering software (e.g., slope stability). (required)
- Knowledge of numerical modeling tools. (preferred)
- Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed. (required)
- Excellent writing and communication skills. (required)
- Field work and overnight travel may be required.
- Current OSHA 30-hr training and refreshers. (preferred)
- Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing may be required.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
