Our client is looking for a Materials Manager to direct the activities of the Materials Department in the areas of inventory control, production scheduling, and accurate shipping/receiving to ensure on time delivery to meet both customer and company goals.Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all Materials Department colleagues are trained in their daily tasks. Ensure proper use and maintenance of the manufacturing database.
- Manage facility inventories, both components and finished goods to ensure manufacturing department can meet customer's needs.
- Review accuracy of forecast and sales orders received from customers and work with purchasing departments to verify accuracy of forecast and orders sent to suppliers.
- Establish training procedures to strengthen and evaluate supervisors and all colleagues on the “ILU” approach.
- Assigns duties and examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformation to policies and procedures. Provide information and feedback on such duties, if necessary complete disciplinary action.
- Be prepared for/conduct meetings in a timely and professional manner.
- Coordinate information to suppliers for phase-out projects.
- Setup and maintain Part Number, BOM, and Routings in the Manufacturing database.
- Review AC Manager for correlation with manufacturing database.
- Bachelor's degree (B. A./B.S.) from four-year college or university
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- 5+ years of experience in inventory control, receiving, shipping, and/or purchasing
