
Press Brake Operator

- Independently set up & operate Amada Press Brake Machine
- Ensure proper tooling and fixturing as well as reporting operation times Interfacing with programmers, engineers and other team members for problem solving
- Work within tolerances of +-.005" in sheet metal up to " thick
- Can perform single and multiple set ups on single brake
- Program and form parts at press brake using blueprint within designated tolerance
- Record inspection measurements using dial/digital calipers, protractors, and height gages
- Work with aluminum, steel, stainless steel, and copper materials
- Study, understand, and follow assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, job travelers, facility procedures, and parts list
- Maintain orderliness of product, equipment, tools, supplies, ESD, part handling and inventory points within Fabrication
- Position parts and subassemblies by using templates or by reading measurements
- Report assembly, equipment, material, and/or quality problems to Manager to obtain additional resources or direction
- Complete preventive maintenance per schedule/instructions
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with PPE procedures, work rules, and regulations
- Document actions by completing production and quality forms
- Contribute to a team effort by accomplishing related tasks, or rotating through different processes/jobs as required or directed
- Operate per established Company Policies and Procedures
- Other tasks as assigned by Management
- Press Brake experience of at least 3-5 years
- Recent experience with running, set-up and operation of press brakes, recent Amada press brake experience preferred
- Experience with Deburr machines, Turret Punch Presses, Shears and Haegers a plus
- Has performed single and multiple setups on one press brake
- Require ability to read blue prints, dial & digital calipers & height gauges
- Able to form parts within tolerance as tight as +-.005"
- Program own dimensions off blueprints preferred
- Must have worked with aluminum, steel & stainless materials
- Works well both independently and as a team player
- Oral and written communication skills for a team environment
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds without assistance
- Detail oriented, organized, analytical
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
