Job SummaryWith a patient centered culture, the Phlebotomist will provide a positive experience to our patients and customers through collecting and receiving appropriate specimens for laboratory testing in an inpatient, outpatient or off-campus site environment. The Phlebotomist registers patients for laboratory testing and maintains established processes for record retention and retrieval and distribution of test results.Education RequirementsHigh School Diploma or Equivalent; or higher college degree completed. Successful completion of a Phlebotomy Medical Assistant training program. A minimum of 2 years full time of phlebotomy experience may be considered in place of an approved training program.Experience RequirementsBasic computer literacy ad familiarity with medical terminology normally acquired through program training and/or work experience preferredCertifications/ Licensures RequirementsValid driver’s licensePhysical RequirementsLight Work:Exerting up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 10 lbs. frequently and/or negligible amounts constantly.
