NP or PA Advanced Practice Clinician - Addiction Medicine - Espanola - Part-Time
Presbyterian Healthcare Services
- Espanola, NM
- Permanent
- Part-time
Divide clinical time between the Presbyterian Espanola Hospital (PEH) PMG Renewal Clinic and the PEH Addiction Medicine Consult Service (inpatient and emergency department), treating patients with multiple substance use disorders both in-person and via telemedicine.Although it is anticipated that the APC positions will primarily be assigned to the Renewal Clinic, assignment and scheduling to the AMCS vs. Renewal Clinic will be adapted as the service line grows to best fit the needs of the AMCS and Renewal Clinic, taking advantage of the individual APC's training, experience, skills and preferences. For example:
- An APC with a primary background in family medicine may be assigned primarily to the Renewal Clinic, seeing adult patients, but may be tasked with assisting the inpatient consultation service.
- An APC with a primary background in emergency medicine or other hospital-based patient care may be tasked more often than other APC's with assisting on the AMCS.

- Understand that extensive studies of much of the medication used in addiction medicine is limited.
- Strive to keep up with medical literature as well as successful practices employed in other institutions.
