Provides professional nursing care to patients, including conducting nursing assessments, assisting with exams and treatment, patient education, and maintenance of medical records.*40 bed MICU – 2:1 ratio
*Combination Medical and Surgical, Sepsis, GI bleed, DKA, respiratory, post op pancreas, general surgery, Put in arterial lines, CRRT by themselves
*Tenured and supportive leadership team.
*Magnet Facility and Comprehensive stroke center.
*Intensivist coverage 24/7
*Second highest acuity ICU; comparable acuity as TMC, Med center-like hospital with a community feel.

*Free floating charge RN and Management support 24/7.
*All nurses can float to other ICU units (Neuro and CVICU) opportunity to learn other specialtiesJob DescriptionMinimum QualificationsEducation: Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing; Bachelors of Nursing preferredLicenses/Certifications:
  • Current State of Texas license or temporary/compact license to practice professional nursing
  • Certified in Basic Life Support
  • Additional certifications may be required based on discipline and/or nursing unit requirements
Experience / Knowledge / Skills:
  • RN I < 1 year
  • RN II = 1-3 years
  • RN III = 3-10 years
  • RN IV = 10+ years
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
