Description :The Referral Coordinator is responsible for being the first point of contact for patients as they begin their therapy care.This is a temporary, full-time position working M-F, hours to vary between 8:00 am - 7:00 pm. This is a remote position, but candidates must live in MN or WI to be considered for the role and must be in reasonable driving distance to our Corporate Headquarters location in Bloomington, MN for training.Twin Cities Orthopedics is an operating division of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health), a group of local medical practices, owned and led by its physicians, on a mission to give patients more control over their healthcare.Essential Functions:
Provide initial support and guidance to patients through phone and text interactions
Coordinate a variety of work list queues based on patient contact methods which could include inbound calls, outbound calls and texting
Proficiently create a new account in the practice management system
Communicate all pertinent information to patients, including appointment information, directions, check-in times, and referral information
Verify and accurately document patient insurance information and maintain a working knowledge of health care plan requirements and health plan networks
Perform efficient scheduling with attention to detail using practice management software
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Maintain a high level of attention to detail, ensure accuracy and consistency in patient communications, adhering to company protocols and standards
Engage in clear, professional communication, both written and verbal, with both internal and external clients, patients and staff
Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to PHI and HIPAA guidelines
Respond to inquiries and relay information without delay, maintaining open lines of communication
All other duties as assigned
Education and Experience Requirements:
High School diploma/GED or equivalent
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
Customer Service experience required
Experience with accurate and proficient written communication
i-Health Administrative or Medical Office experience preferred
