Full-time German speaking nanny required for a Tribeca family with 3 children starting ASAP. Specific duties to be negotiated with the family, but in general, you will be responsible for providing nurturing care to the children and playing with the children in a fun, stimulating, and age-appropriate way. To be successful in this role, you will need to be someone warm, active and energetic who is comfortable creating clear, fair boundaries while keeping things calm and fun. Someone who can easily adapt and go with the flow of the family, but who also brings new ideas and takes initiative with the kids.The family is specifically looking for someone who loves to play and be creative, who is German speaking (fluent and or native tongue), has experience with children of this age range, engaged with both children's development and flexible with their schedule. Ability to travel domestically and internationally for longer periods of time is ideal.Location: Tribeca, NYC (Live out in the city and Live in - the Hamptons, Caribbean or Europe). Pending work authorization family is open to securing a nanny for outside of US employment only.Start date: ASAPDays/times: Schedule TBC but approx. 45-50 hours per weekChildren: 3 children - boy (born Oct 2018) and 2 girls (born July 2020 and summer 2022)Conditions: $25-$35 per hour* plus unlimited monthly Metrocard and two weeks paid leave per year*dependent on experienceFor further consideration, applicants must possess the following:
  • Fluent in German
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience as a full-time nanny or 5 years as a steady part-time nanny working in private homes
  • A well-suited demeanor for working with children
  • Exceptional childcare references that attest to strong communication skills, reliability, punctuality, maturity and high emotional intelligence
  • Education or equivalent knowledge of ages and stages of
child growth and development * Ability to commit for a minimum of 1 year for all permanent positions
  • A clean background to pass our comprehensive background check
  • A professional appearance
  • Fluency in both oral and written English
Additional qualifications we look for:
  • Training and certifications such as First Aid, CPR & AED, early childhood education, defensive driving, water safety certification, NCS, special needs, etc.
  • A four-year college degree from an accredited university
  • An open schedule and ability to travel
