Job Description:Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement store layouts, visual merchandising displays, and interior décor that align with brand guidelines and seasonal themes.
  • Collaborate with store managers, marketing teams, and visual merchandisers to develop cohesive design strategies.
  • Select and source furniture, fixtures, signage, and materials that meet aesthetic and budgetary requirements.
  • Ensure designs comply with safety, accessibility, and building regulations.
  • Oversee installation and setup of design elements, coordinating with contractors and vendors as needed.
  • Conduct site visits to assess space functionality and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Stay updated on retail design trends and customer behavior to inform design decisions.
  • Manage design projects from concept to completion, including budgeting and timeline tracking.
Management
  • Oversees the day-to-day operations of their assigned areas.
  • Works closely and regularly communicates with the Assistant Store Manager and Store Manager regarding all initiatives, sales and team members related to their area.
  • Create/maintain work schedules and provide management for team members
  • Assign and delegate tasks to team members.
  • Handle attendance and performance issues.
  • Write and conduct periodic performance reviews.
Requirements:Education: Minimum of a high school education; some college education preferred.Experience:
  • Proven experience in retail interior design.
  • Strong understanding of spatial planning, lighting, color theory, and materials.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Experience with sustainable design practices.
  • Knowledge of branding and visual merchandising principles.
  • Familiarity with retail analytics and customer flow optimization.
  • Customer service oriented - Ability to assist customers while following company procedures.
  • Communication skills - Strong oral and written communication skills required.
  • Computer skills - Working knowledge of computers required.
  • Language skills: Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and communicate effectively using the English language. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
