
Electrical Controls Technician

- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical control systems, including PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, sensors, and other control devices.
- Perform regular maintenance on electrical systems and equipment to ensure they are operating correctly and safely.
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues and perform necessary repairs to minimize downtime.
- Program and configure PLCs, HMIs, and other control systems.
- Develop and implement control strategies for automated machinery and processes.
- Assist in the design and implementation of system upgrades and modifications to improve efficiency and reliability.
- Work with engineering and production teams to develop and implement process improvements.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
- Ensure all work complies with relevant safety standards and regulations.
- Provide technical support and training to production and maintenance staff on the operation and maintenance of control systems.
- Assist in the development of training materials and standard operating procedures.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Perform quality checks to ensure all work meets the required standards.
- Education: Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Industrial Automation, or a related field. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working with electrical control systems in an industrial setting.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in programming and troubleshooting PLCs, HMIs, and VFDs.
- Strong understanding of electrical schematics and control diagrams.
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus).
- Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., Journeyman Electrician, ISA Certified Control Systems Technician) are a plus.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- This position may require working in various environments, including production floors, control rooms, and maintenance areas.
