The Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Generalist supports the implementation, management and continuous improvement of all EHS policies, processes and programs to various internal and external stakeholders. This position will work with the salaried EHS staff, Union Safety Representative(s), Joint Labor Management Safety and Health Committees, managers, supervisors and production employees to provide leadership to the health and safety policies, programs, processes and EHS culture improvement at the facility.Job Responsibilities
- Supports the H-D Health & Safety Management System through assistance with CIS Integration, Workplace Analysis, Hazard Prevention & Control, Education, Communication & Recognition, and Care, Case & Claim Management.
- Provides technical safety support to all stakeholders including, but not limited to, incident investigations, ergonomic assessments, interpretation of safety regulations and the application of safety policy, process and procedures.
- Assists and supports best in class strategies, standards and solutions for occupational injury and illness prevention, compliance assurance, and behavioral performance based on regulations (OSHA), best practice standards (ANSI, NFPA, ACGIH, etc.), data analysis and trend tracking.
- Assists and supports strategic educational and training programs that will improve the working safety knowledge of stakeholders in order to address issues that arise from the analysis of safety process and injury data.
- Provide support to the implementation, management and continuous improvement of all safety and health policies, processes and programs to various internal and external stakeholders.
- Provides technical safety support to all stakeholders including, but not limited to, incident investigations, ergonomic assessments, interpretation of safety regulations and the application of safety policy, process and procedures.
- Bachelor's Degree Preferred
Required
- Typically requires a minimum of 3 years of related experience.
- Must be knowledgeable in State and Federal Safety regulations pertaining to OSHA, ANSI, NFPA, and NEC.
- Must understand and demonstrate aspects of safety, industrial hygiene and ergonomics.
- Must be able to proactively lead and guide others to achieve success and create a Partnering environment.
- Strong communication skills are required.
- Must be a proactive problem solver and able to work independently with flexibility and demonstrate the ability to maintain credibility and confidentiality.
Travel Required: 10 - 25%
