Job Description:Under the supervision of the Manager of Patient Access or designee, will be responsible for daily operations of the department, including staff training and scheduling and systems administration. Will perform other duties as may be necessary.Requirements:EDUCATION:Bachelor's degree in Business or Healthcare Administration preferred; can be substituted by a minimum of five years experience in a hospital patient access position.EXPERIENCE:Generally requires two years of experience in a health care setting involving customer service to become knowledgeable in practices involved in patient admissions and financial counseling and/or coordination of services related to insurance verification, bed control, patient information and transport.
