Job title: CNC MachinistReports to: CNC SupervisorSupervisory responsibilities: None.Summary/objective: Produces machined parts by setting up and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine.Essential functions:
  • Download programs and MDI (Manual Data Input) as needed.
  • Setup and machine to the proper programs and tolerances required.
  • Recheck setups, change cutters and inserts, and make adjustments as needed to achieve the best possible results.
  • Maintain appropriate tools and keep current on calibration.
  • Keep work area clean.
  • Follow all safety rules and report unsafe work conditions to management.
  • Regular attendance at work during scheduled work hours.
  • Employees may be requested to perform other job functions as required.
  • Operate overhead cranes
Required competency, education, and experience:
  • Experience with 3 axis mills
  • A well rounded knowledge of cutters and inserts, and feeds/speeds.
  • Candidate must have high school or equivalent education.
  • Candidate must have valid driver’s license
Preferred education and experience:
  • Experience with large mills
  • Experience with right angle head
  • Two years of machining experience
  • Programming experience using Fusion 360 preferred
Work environment: Manufacturing environmentPhysical demands:
  • Candidate must have full use of all limbs.
  • Candidate must be able to read and speak English.
  • Candidate must be able to lift 40 pounds.
Position type and expected hours of work: Full time, night shift.
