- Makes frequent, often short notice visits to dealers within assigned area. Acts as the "eyes and ears" of Technical Services & Support when required. Travels onsite for investigation or assistance into technical issues.
- Provides technical advice and guidance to team members as well as dealers. Assists/coaches/guides dealers on technical problem investigation as well as solution implementation. Identifies emerging issues and investigates to understand product reliability problems. Reports on product reliability concerns. These reports will include dealer/customer input, observations, recommendations provided to the dealer/customer, plus data readings, photos, and video.
- Conducts first-level inspection, analysis and reporting of failed parts. Works closely with the area Field Team as well as Technical Support. Provides Custom Harvester Combine Support assignments through grain harvest season.
- Provide Expert On-Site Technical Support: Make frequent, often short-notice, visits to dealers within an assigned area to investigate and assist with technical issues. Act as the "eyes and ears" for Technical Services & Support in the field.
- Deliver Technical Guidance & Coaching, Identify & Report Product Reliability Issues, Collaborate & Support Field Operations.
- Education & Certifications: Hold a Degree/Certification in Vocational Ag, Trade, Technology, Agricultural Sciences, Engineering, or an equivalent discipline. Additional certifications (e.g., ASE, ASAE) are highly desirable.
- Experienced Equipment Technician: Possess 5+ years of experience diagnosing and repairing automotive, agricultural, heavy construction equipment, or related machinery.
- Technical Expertise: Thoroughly familiar with applied hydraulics, engines, drivetrains, electrical systems, electronics, and air conditioning systems.
- Problem-Solving & Communication: Demonstrate excellent technical skills, including strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities, along with excellent verbal and written communication.
- Independent & Customer-Focused: Reliable and able to work independently, with proven experience in heavy equipment (farm or industrial), dealership dynamics, and direct customer interaction. Must have the ability and willingness to travel.
