Responsibilities1. Enterprise Data Architecture & Design
- Design and maintain a scalable, modular data architecture that supports analytics, reporting, AI/ML, and operational needs.
- Define standards for data modeling, pipeline development, and integration across cloud and on-prem platforms.
- Architect data domains, data products, and data layers to enable reuse, performance, and agility.
- Lead architectural decisions around data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Data Lake, ETL/ELT, streaming architecture).
- Integrate structured and unstructured data sources from systems like Salesforce, Oracle ERP, and marketing automation into a unified ecosystem.
- Ensure seamless data flow across business applications, analytics tools, and AI models.
- Collaborate with Data Governance and Security teams to define and enforce access control, data classification, and compliance policies.
- Implement role-based access, encryption standards, and auditable data access frameworks.
- Ensure alignment with privacy regulations and corporate risk policies.
- Partner with Data Engineering, Analytics, and Business teams to translate strategic needs into scalable data solutions.
- Guide and mentor data engineers and analysts on best practices, architecture patterns, and data quality standards.
- Collaborate with program managers to ensure architecture fits within enterprise operating models.
- Stay current with trends in data mesh, data fabric, real-time data, and AI integration.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies or methodologies to future-proof the data ecosystem.
- Drive technology upgrades and migrations in coordination with IT and platform teams.
- 10+ years in data architecture, data engineering, or related fields, with at least 5 years in a senior or lead role.
- Deep expertise in modern data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, AWS/GCP/Azure).
- Strong knowledge of data modeling (OLTP & OLAP), data warehousing, metadata management, and ETL/ELT design patterns.
- Experience integrating data from multiple enterprise systems including ERP, CRM, and SaaS platforms.
- Excellent stakeholder communication skills and ability to translate business requirements into architectural solutions.
- Experience supporting AI/ML workflows or working closely with data science teams.
- Familiarity with tools such as Matillion, dbt, Informatica, or similar.
- Exposure to data governance tools (e.g., Alation, Collibra) and concepts like data product ownership.
