Talascend is currently seeking a Software Engineer for a contract opportunity with our client in Novi, Michigan.OverviewThe role involves developing safety-critical gas turbine engine control software to compliance objectives, providing software architecting support, and modifying processes to achieve compliance and optimal development pace.Responsibilities

Develop safety-critical gas turbine engine control software to DO-178C compliance objectives
Provide software architecting support to enable software-to-software integration and testing, including product line methodologies
Develop and modify processes and methods to enable the team to achieve compliance objectives and optimal development pace
Set up and modify continuous integration / continuous deployment (CI/CD) frameworks to enable software development
Liaison with certification airworthiness authorities to explain approaches, demonstrate compliance to objectives, and close out audit findings

Qualifications

Engineering degree (preferably a BS in a STEM discipline) with a minimum of 5 years of experience OR MS in STEM with a minimum of 3 years of experience

Requirements

US citizenship
Gas turbine experience
Experience with developing safety-critical software
Experience with developing logic for closed-loop systems
Experience with embedded software design
