- Create a warm, inviting atmosphere when interacting with guests and clients, and assist in ensuring that the guest/client has a positive experience.
- Guide guests and clients through all phases of their Biltmore Farms banquet experience from greeting to serving with a smile
- Familiarize yourself with menus, ingredients, presentation and proper food service standards
- Have a "can-do", pleasant and upbeat attitude while providing exceptional service to our guests and clients.
- Be proactive and anticipate guest needs and resolve issues quickly
- Set up, monitor, refresh and breakdown receptions and buffet tables for specified functions according to group requirements
- Consistently follow sequence of service utilizing all proper procedures and standardized by the Banquet Management Team.
- Effectively communicate with management, chefs and staff in order to fulfill and address any issues or needs requested by the guest or other employees.
- Set up Banquet Room tables including folding napkins and decorating tables.
- Will be flexible and available to support the Food & Beverage Team and on occasion work as a Breakfast Server.
- Able to lift and carry up to 35 lbs. on a tray or arm service where it applies.
- Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time and be able to walk, stoop and bend frequently.
