- Execution of fieldwork encompassed in remediation and industrial maintenance projects under supervision.
- Drive approximately 30% of the time and work on-site as part of a team. Depending on the location, drivers may be required to perform the duties of a Field Technician if business needs arise.
- Ensure the accurate completion of all job-specific, employee-related, and equipment-related MER paperwork. This includes timesheets, daily work reports, driver’s logs, pre- and post-vehicle inspections, and daily tailgate safety meeting forms.
- Understand and enforce the project's detailed scope of work to ensure strict compliance with contract documents, project schedules, and corporate policies and procedures.
- Work safely during all phases of job duties performed in the field.
- Be able to perform tasks in areas of varying dimensions, which may involve squatting and crawling for extended periods.
- Follow directions carefully and demonstrate proficiency in reading, speaking, and understanding English. Able to read and comprehend common warning labels and hazardous materials literature, including site safety plans.
- Possess the ability to safely drive and perform safety checks on all vehicles for which you are licensed. This includes operating various vehicles safely, such as Vacuum Trucks, Vacuum Trailers, Turbo-Vacs, Roll-Off Trucks, and Hydro Vacs.
- Project work may require out-of-town travel for two weeks or longer.
- It’s essential to understand and comply with both company and client safety standards.
- Due to the diversity of scheduled and unscheduled projects, physical demands and environmental conditions will vary significantly depending on the assignment.
- Work outdoors year-round in all types of weather.
- May work in extreme environments, including conditions that involve heat, cold, heights, hazardous chemicals, loud noises, and the operation of dangerous equipment.
- May work for long hours that may include varying levels of physical activity, such as standing, walking, crouching, using your hands, and heavy lifting of up to 50 pounds or more.
- Must be clean-shaven at all times to ensure you can don and seal a respirator immediately.
- Requires High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent reading, writing and reasoning skills) and 2-3 years of experience operating vacuum trucks (or similar equipment).
- Additional experience in related work (emergency response, manual labor, industrial cleaning) is preferred.
- A valid Class “A” Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements is required.
- Experience with construction equipment and heavy haul/end dump is required
- TWIC Preferred.
- OSHA 40-HR HAZWOPER and Confined Space Entry certifications are desired but not required.
- To successfully complete the pre-employment background and substance screening process, candidates must undergo various checks. These include employment verifications, criminal record searches, and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) checks. Additionally, ongoing verifications will be conducted throughout employment to ensure that all records align with company policy standards.
