With professional training, career advancement, and a supportive environment, we empower our people to lead with purpose and make a lasting impact.Position SummaryWe're seeking a skilled and adaptable Maintenance Response Team (MRT) - Technician 1 to provide hands-on maintenance support across multiple communities. In this floating role, you'll assist with supervising on-site maintenance teams, completing repairs, and ensuring properties are safe, functional, and well-maintained. Your technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and customer service mindset will help keep operations running smoothly while delivering an exceptional living experience for residents.Key Responsibilities
  • Travel to assigned communities to provide maintenance coverage and assist with staff management.
  • Train new maintenance personnel through the Allied mentee/mentor program.
  • Inspect facilities and equipment to assess service needs, required tools, and personnel requirements.
  • Assign and oversee maintenance, repair, and renovation tasks, including work performed by contractors.
  • Assist with unit turns, building upkeep, and common area maintenance.
  • Complete work orders, including repairs to units and appliances.
  • Support community cleaning, landscaping, and general upkeep as needed.
  • Participate in contracted projects, ensuring adherence to specifications.
  • Be available for rotating on-call emergency maintenance coverage.
  • Work toward obtaining an O7B electrical technician license, if not already held.
  • Attend and participate in regular meetings and trainings.
Qualifications
  • Minimum two years of verifiable apartment maintenance experience.
  • O7B License preferred but not required.
  • Must provide own hand tools.
  • Reliable, insured vehicle with capacity to transport tools.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and adaptability skills.
  • Proficiency in basic math, including ability to work with fractions, decimals, and percentages; basic algebra and geometry a plus.
  • Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions; professional communication skills for resident and team interactions.
  • Comfortable working in varied environments, including outdoors and in all Pacific Northwest weather conditions.
  • Ability to occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds; frequent walking, standing, climbing stairs, and use of hands for repairs.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Competitive salary based on experience
  • 152 hours (19 days) PTO annually, plus carry-over up to 120 hours and longevity PTO at 5 and 9 years
