
Charge Capture Coding Specialist - Full-time with Benefits

- Demonstrated ICD-10-CM proficiency
- Demonstrated understanding of the CPT guidelines for separate procedures, bundling and add-on-codes
- Experience in abstracting medical records for accurate CPT code assignments
- Experience in professional, multi-specialty in office services, point of care procedures, as well as surgical, pathology and diagnostic radiology
- Understanding and application of CMS initiatives including NCCI Edits, MIPS and NCD/LCD polices
- High School Diploma or GED required. Post-secondary education in Medical Coding and/or Associate’s Degree in Business or related field preferred.
- Must be certified through AAPC as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC).
- Must maintain required CEU’s to remain Certified.
- CPC-A Certificate holders must work in office for one Year (or until the apprentice indicator is removed) and then are eligible for partial remote work up to 80%.
- Surgery assigned coders need minimum of 2 years’ experience in inpatient and/or outpatient experience.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, pharmacology, disease processes. Previous experience with Meditch preferred.
- Ability to adhere and meet a 95% quality 12-point accuracy standard.
- Must meet or exceed and maintain minimum productivity standards.
