What to expect:
  • Skills you will learn: Patient care activities such as proper hygienic care (bathing, showering, shaving, etc.), assisting with hydration and nutrition, ambulation and transportation of patients, therapeutic communication and assisting in emergency situations.
  • BLS certification provided.
  • Training/Orientation is fully paid at the same rate of the position.
  • Classroom-style learning supplemented with hands on clinical training.
  • Agreement to a 1-year commitment period working at St. Charles Hospital upon successful completion of the training program.
Requirements for the Patient Care Assistant Training Program:
  • Passion for Patient Care
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required
