- Management of day-to-day field operations including coordination of all service lines and subcontractors to include oversight and compliance with schedule, budgets, schedules, and Site Safety & Health Programs for field activities
- Coordination of work with client personnel
- Communication/coordination with Project Managers and responsible for quality of product and safety of all crews
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor
- Provide health and safety (H&S) support for projects as a Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO)
- Implement and adhere to approved Accident Prevention Plan (APP), stop work for unsafe conditions participate in job walks and pre-job planning.
- Prepare and review project work plans.
- Specify and obtain safety supplies.
- Provide supervision for recognition, evaluation, and control of site hazards.
- Establish safe work procedures.
- Monitor safe work practices.
- Present daily safety meetings, initial site safety briefings, and safely training.
- Perform safety inspections and follow up actions.
- Conduct exposure monitoring.
- Complete incident reporting and investigations.
- Maintain H&S record keeping.
- Provide health and safety technical assistance as needed.
- Onsite inspections and documentation of all daily inspections.
- Test and adhere to established procedures.
- Investigating causes of occurrence.
- 5 years in tank and fueling system construction and repairs, 3 of which should include supervision on DoD fueling systems repairs and new construction project work
- High School Diploma and general education diploma (GED) required.
- Familiar with implementation of EM-385-1-1 and OSHA compliant programs
- Capable of reading and working with excel spreadsheets for development of short-term schedule projection and budget management
- Ability to read client specifications, drawings and safety requirements
- Demonstrated proficiency in both oral and written communication
- Ability to operate computers using standard word processing and spreadsheet programs
- First Aid/CPR, OSHA 30, EM385-1-1.
- Must pass GY6 standard pre-employment physical, background and drug screens
- Physically able to travel and negotiate areas in and around fueling equipment at military & commercial installations
- Competent Person for Excavation, Confined Space, LOTO, Fall Protection and Scaffolding, some of which may be obtained upon hire.
