Job PurposeTo operate mobile equipment on the T & G line in an OSB manufacturing facility.In this position you will have the opportunity to:
  • Complete operational checklist for forklift
  • Organize and manage finished product from mainline production.
  • Keep the T&G machine supplied with product and packaging materials and removing finished product from outfeed area
  • Keep the T&G area cleaned and units organized and put in the warehouse.
  • Organize warehouse stacking lanes
  • Assist with cleaning the T&G paintbooth
  • Assist with the operation of T&G equipment including quality checks
  • Organize downgrade crossouts and empty waste dumpster
  • Assist all other forklift operators and strappers as needed directed by supervisor or lead man
  • Assist with loading and unloading trucks
  • Works on Re-Grading product
  • Perform other duties as necessary.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations.
What do I need to be successful?Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of simple equipment operation.
  • Knowledge of general equipment maintenance.
  • Time management skills.
  • Demonstrated mechanical ability.
  • Ability to read and understand safety rules and regulations.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
Education:
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
Experience:
  • 3 - 6 months experience in mobile equipment operation preferred.
  • Or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.
