
Administrative Coordinator - College of Dentistry Academic Affairs

- Assumes day-to-day responsibility for organizing and coordinating specialized clerical functions in support of Academic Affairs.
- Answers questions, provides information and handles complaints for internal and external customers.
- Updates office procedures for a more efficient operation when necessary.
- Assists with preparation of agendas, minutes and scheduling of committee meetings.
- Approves departmental expenditures within predetermined guidelines
- Reviews billing from contractors and vendors, adjusts as needed.
- Establishes and maintains filing systems including confidential documents.
- Assists with implementation. training and supporting of new computer applications (Canvas, Simple Syllabus, Top Hat, etc.)
- Coordinates departmental processes and maintains Peoplesoft data integrity
- Plans and coordinates special projects.
- Schedules departmental meetings, appointments and makes travel arrangements
- Collects and disseminates information for internal and external customers
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- 12 months office, clerical, or administrative experience.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, and Word)
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to complete tasks in an efficient and timely manner
- Ability to multitask and self-motivated
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
- Advanced computer skills with wide knowledge of business software
