- Applies extensive, professional knowledge to plan, implement, and supervise a comprehensive program that promotes positive growth and development of children and youth.
- Oversees CYS food service program to ensure compliance with all applicable Army and USDA food program policies and procedures to include proper meal components and food service/preparation and storage.
- Ensures CYS management staff work cooperatively to ensure seamless service and continuity of quality options for all children and youth. Prepares reports, surveys, and briefings for command and installation on matters pertaining to CYS.
- Recruits and hires qualified personnel utilizing Army CYS Standard Position Descriptions. Serves as Subject Matter Expert on installation child and youth services issues.
- Supervises program administrators and/or directors/managers; CYS Specialists, CYS Trainers and other staff assigned directly to CYS and evaluates employees based on established performance standards.
- Must be 18 years of age or older at time of appointment or placement into the position.
- Proof of education is required at the time of application.
- Must have current health assessment which documents good mental and physical health, freedom from communicable disease, and immunizations IAW current Army and DoD policy to include annual influenza vaccinations.

- Travel to on and off post locations required. Job requires working both in and out of doors.
- Satisfactory performance, successful completion of training requirements and demonstrated on the job competency is required.

3. Comprehensive oral and communications skills and analytical writing skills. Ability to present ideas and proposals to a variety of audiences.Highly Preferred candidates will submit resumes that reflect at least 4 years of experience managing multiple Dept of Defense Child and Youth Services programs as a CYS Program Ops Specialist, CYS Administrator, or CYS Coordinator. The experience must be clearly identified on the resume. - Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs is authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.
- This is a pay-banded position.
- Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). - Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. When authorized, night differential will be paid at the rate of 10% basic rate for hours of non-overtime work performed between 1800-0600.
- All CYS employees will receive a 100% discount on their first child's childcare fee. Additionally, CYS employee's 2nd child and any additional children in the household will receive at least a 25% discount.
- Flex employees must work a minimum of 15 hours per week to receive the discount.
- Additional referrals may be made from this vacancy announcement for up to 90 days after the closing date.
- This is a Regular Full-Time position with a minimum work week of 40 hours and eligible for benefits.
