Job Title: SVP, TraderLocation: CA - Westlake VillageWhat you'll do: As the SVP, Trader (Bulk Desk) you’ll lead the team responsible for executing the firm’s initiatives for the bulk acquisition channel. Primary responsibilities include managing operational workflows, monitoring and reporting on day-to-day purchase activity, and trade level communication with clients. This is a management position, will have direct reports, and is an opportunity to work in a high-volume production channel for the top bank owned originator in the country.
  • Manage positions including implementing pricing, disposition, and/or hedging strategies. Monitor market trends to incorporate into decision making.
  • Prospect for new outlets and/or execution strategies.
  • Represent AmeriHome positively when interacting with clients, trade counterparties and vendors.
  • Work directly with Capital Market Operations teams on trade settlements. Work directly with Contract Finance department on any trade level documentation.
  • Lead and develop a team; responsible for hiring, coaching, performance management, training and development.
What you'll need:
  • 10+ years of related experience in Residential Mortgage Lending, Capital Markets or similar field.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field required; Masters or MBA in related field preferred.
  • Previous leadership experience required.
  • Advanced knowledge of residential mortgage industry in Correspondent or Retail Lending including; sales, operations, capital markets and/or other residential mortgage products and services.
  • Advanced knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
  • Advanced in Capital Markets functions including trading, hedging, best execution calculations and margin management.
  • Intermediate in VBA and/or SQL.
  • Advanced speaking and writing communication skills.
  • CFA preferred.
Compensation: Salary range for new hires is generally $207,535.00 - $240,000.00 for Westlake Village, CA. Salary amount is determined by specific job location.
