A well-established, engineering-led manufacturer based in Traverse City, MI is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their product development and manufacturing team. If you're passionate about design, enjoy solving complex problems, and want to work in a company where engineering is truly valued, we want to hear from you.What You’ll Do:Own mechanical designs from concept through production launchUse SolidWorks (or similar CAD tools) to develop parts, assemblies, and drawingsCollaborate with cross-functional teams in manufacturing, operations, and qualityParticipate in prototyping, testing, and validation of new designsApply DFM/DFA principles and manage BOMsHelp drive continuous improvement and cost-saving initiativesSupport new product introduction from concept through scale-upCreate detailed inspection plans, test procedures, and technical documentationTroubleshoot design and production issues in collaboration with quality and operationsWhat We’re Looking For:Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field2+ years of experience in mechanical/product design, preferably in a manufacturing environmentFamiliarity with industrial or mechanical systems (machinery, capital equipment, etc.)Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo, etc.)Solid understanding of GD&T, tolerances, BOMs, and engineering documentation * Work authorization: Must be fully authorized to work in the U.S. without needing sponsorship.Bonus: experience with quality systems, inspection documentation, or metallurgyWhy This Company?Stable, growing business with deep engineering rootsWork closely with senior engineers and manufacturing leadershipStrong focus on mentorship and technical growthCompetitive compensation, benefits, and long-term advancement potentialA culture that values precision, autonomy, and engineering excellenceTo Apply:
