- Perform a wide variety of detailed engineering analyses in related areas such as planning, maintenance, design, project management and construction, and operations on multiple properties including cooperatives, municipals, and investor-owned utilities (IOU)
- Use engineering/technical principles, best practices, and knowledge of internal and external business issues to solve problems, develop cost-effective, technically sound solutions
- Support activities to comply with applicable industry standards (RUS, Municipal, IOU) and other utility regulations, as required
- Plan, prioritize, conduct and lead assignments
- Meet with various stakeholders, including customer representatives, developers (commercial and subdivisions) and property owners concerning project designs and regulations
- Act as liaison between other departments, divisions, and organizations
- Work with engineering technicians to determine any quality control design changes
- Manage schedules for various project sizes, depending on customer needs
- Prepare and interpret schematics, drawings, layouts and other visual aids
- Solve problems and develop solutions that call for an original approach, based on thorough and comprehensive research and technical expertise
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) certification required
- Bachelor s Degree in engineering and 5+ years related engineering experience with an investor-owned utility or cooperative
- Possess extensive knowledge of equipment, materials, systems, and business processes
- Possess strong computer literacy skills
- Valid Driver's License and safe driving record
